Pop Art  painting class

Have you always dreamed of drawing a pop art piece that incorporates a character, but didn't know where to start? This class is for you!
With my method, you will not face a white and stressful canvas without knowing how to start or how to continue. Together we will create your own modern and unique work of art on a huge canvas!

What will we learn?

First lesson – We will prepare the canvas for painting. We will choose a character that will be the main theme of the piece and build the composition of the piece around it. We will review different ways of sketching an abstract figure and the transition from the reference image to a large canvas. Towards the end of the lesson, we will start working on the sketch of the character we have chosen.

Second lesson – We will continue building the sketch of the character, emphasizing correct proportions and a nice and symmetrical structure. We will review different ways to check the sketch we drew and its accuracy against the reference image. We will make corrections to the sketches accordingly and transfer the final drawing to the canvas.

Third lesson - We will paint the figure with different approaches and effects from the abstract world, we will learn which details from the reference we will include in the painting, and which should be left out. We will experiment with different techniques for creating textures with design paste in different textures, and we will learn to create transparency with the help of a glazing medium.

Fourth lesson - We will get to know creative ways of spraying paint and complete the coloring of the design paste. Finally, we will perform a professional finish to our creation by painting the frame in different approaches. And of course, don&'t forget - sign your signature on the piece!

* The class includes painting an abstract figure, it is not a portrait painting.

The materials we will use during the class: Gesso, colored acrylic paint, masking fluid, glazing medium, gel medium, spatulas, design paste, acrylic spray, acrylic ink, brushes and brushes, painting sponge, gold leaf and acrylic marker.
