What will we learn?
First lesson – After we have chosen an image of an animal that will be the main subject of our work, we will review different ways of drawing the animal we have chosen and transition from the reference image to a large canvas. We will start working on the sketch and in the second part of the lesson we will prepare the canvas for painting.
Second lesson – We will continue to build the sketch of the character while emphasizing correct proportions and a nice and symmetrical structure. We will review different ways of checking the sketch and matching it to the reference image, making corrections to the sketches accordingly and transfer the final drawing to the canvas. We will make a division into light and shadow areas and start painting the figure accordingly.
Third lesson - We will learn how to create a fur texture, emphasizing the direction and length of the hair, the shades of the base, shading and highlights. We will learn which details from the reference we will include in the drawing and which we will abandon.
Fourth lesson – We will continue to thicken the texture of the fur/feathers, etc., we will work on loading transparent layers to create depth and blend the textures, as well as working on deepening light and shadow while going into more details in the background. we will add additional details such as a mustache, freckles, protruding hairs, sparkle in the eyes, etc. Finally, we will perform a professional finish to our creation by painting the frame in different approaches. Of course, don't forget - sign your creation and take a photo for the album!
Most importantly, we promise you it will be fun!
At the end, everyone leaves with an amazing creation that can be hung anywhere in the house with pride.
